Turn off the lights,
Plunge into Tartarus.
Hope locked out,
Fear caged in.
Click.
The lights are off.
Twisting and turning,
Salt carves paths down the cheeks,
Enclosed in a cage of darkness.
Legs try to wade through,
An ocean of dense black syrup,
Blind eyes search in vain,
Through thick obsidian ink,
For the heart that seems to be lost.
